Bri Seoane, MPA, appointed President & CEO of Cardea Services
[Seattle, WA] – Cardea, a national leader in advancing health equity through social impact evaluation and research, professional learning, and capacity development, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bri Seoane, MPA, as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 2025. Seoane brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, public health, and systems transformation, making her well-positioned to guide Cardea into its next chapter of impact.
Seoane joins Cardea with an impressive career dedicated to advancing health and social equity. Most recently she served as CEO of Girl Scouts of Northern California, increasing fundraising success and member engagement efforts across 19 counties and benefitting 50,000 girls, gender-expansive youth and their caregivers. Prior to that, she served as Chief Mission Officer at Ronald McDonald House Charities, where she led regional initiatives to expand access to healthcare and social services for medically underserved children and their families. This work built on her earlier experience with the United States Peace Corps in El Salvador, where she served as Associate Peace Corps Director. In that role, she evolved the national health program from focusing on water and sanitation to mirror local government initiatives in HIV/AIDS education, maternal and infant health and community health education, transforming the work to align with UNDP Sustainability goals.
A recognized leader in the field, Seoane has been named an “Influential Woman in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times, Fundraiser of the Year by Nonprofit Pro, named among the Top 50 Women Leaders in Nonprofit by Women We Admire, and was the recipient of the “Unsung Hero” award by the California State Assembly. Her track record of driving organizational growth, securing transformative partnerships, and leading equity-centered initiatives aligns seamlessly with Cardea’s mission.
“For over 50 years, Cardea has worked to advance health and well-being by equipping organizations and communities with the tools they need to create sustainable change,” said Tiffany West, Board Chair of Cardea Services. “Bri Seoane is a visionary leader with a deep commitment to public health and equity. We are thrilled to welcome her as our next President & CEO and look forward to the bold and innovative strides Cardea will make under her leadership.”
