Perspectives From Organizations We Partner With

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with Cardea on several projects including our work together focused on efforts to address substance use disorder (SUD), overdose prevention, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). We have also worked together to support a local health department in promoting equitable access to high quality health care services and improving health outcomes for Black birthing people and babies. It has truly been an honor to collaborate with an organization so thoughtfully committed to centering the voices of community and advancing equity and social justice.

Working with Cardea has been a deeply enriching and purposeful journey. Through my collaborations with them, our work has been instrumental in driving positive change across communities of color and they have consistently strengthened the impact of our work that has ensured a legacy of support and empowerment for those we serve.

We worked with Cardea to develop a specialty-track training for community health workers and Promotoras to address high risk maternal care coordination. Training will support implementation of a pilot project funded by Texas Dept. of State Health Services (TX DSHS) Maternal Child Health Unit. The Cardea Team was an outstanding partner! They took the time to get to know our organization, worked collaboratively with us, and used their wisdom and expertise to help us achieve the best outcome. Their thoughtful process and personalized culture enabled us to feel heard throughout the project. Their compassion, diligence, and strive for excellence made for an inspiring and nurturing collaboration. Cardea does an incredible job at centering race and equity throughout the process, and truly cares about their clients and the diverse communities we serve.

Cardea Services has provided excellent evaluation consulting and contract services for Fact Forward’s federal project. Their team has thoughtful contributions on how we approach evaluation from an equitable manner and meets the needs of the communities we serve. From survey design and development to program evaluation planning, Cardea has made a vital contribution to the work that we do.

I have been working with Cardea for the past 20 years on various projects, from program evaluation to capacity development to strategic planning. I value working with Cardea not only for the quality of and commitment to their work but also for the value they put into relationships. Over and over again, Cardea staff has demonstrated how dedicated they are to understanding the projects from their client’s perspective and, in doing so, honoring the work their clients are committed to.
