Health and Well-Being

About this Course

Most parents in the U.S. vaccinate their children, but there is more work to be done to meet the Healthy People 2020 goals of 80 percent. Recent data suggest that vaccine hesitancy is a growing problem, specifically the number of parents who are opting children out of required school entry immunizations for non-medical reasons. In Washington, around four percent of parents exempt their child. Take this course to learn communication strategies that address the concerns of vaccine hesitant parents.
